Meeting point
Our meeting point for the tour is at the public car park located near the Four Square market.
Mt John observatory
The journey involves ascending approximately 300 meters from the gate to the Mt. John Observatory. If fortunate, visitors might come across flocks of sheep along Mt. John Road. The driver will let you know the meeting time for the return journey. Please feel free to spend an hour according to your preferences.
Astro Cafe
Astro Cafe is located at the summit of Mount John. It is fully enclosed in glass, offering a panoramic view of the scenery. It is conveniently close to the parking area, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy great coffee.
Mt John summit circuit track
Don’t forget to bring your camera with you. This picturesque track offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, The loop track around the Summit Circuit takes around 30 – 40 minutes.
Lake Tekapo
The journey back to the village includes drop-off arrangements that will be scheduled in advance.
Mount John
