Meeting point 8:00 AM (Sep-May) or 8:30 AM (June-Aug)
The meeting point for our tour is either the car park at the Tekapo Four Square supermarket or the public parking area next to the supermarket.
Peter’s lookout
One of the best views of Lake Pukaki and Aoraki(Mt Cook),and the surrounding Southern Alps is absolutely stunning, making it a must-visit spot.
Hermitage Hotel – 10:00 AM or later in winter-
If you prefer not to participate in the hiking activity, you can choose to disembark at the hotel and reassemble at 3pm.
Tasman Glacier View Track or Tasman River Track 10:15 AM
Choose between two walking options. Your guide will recommend the best track on the day. The Tasman Glacier View Track offers spectacular views of the Tasman Glacier and Tasman Lake, with approximately 300 steps. Alternatively, the Tasman River Track provides an easier walk, with the chance to spot icebergs on the lake if you are lucky.
Hooker Valley track and more 11:30 AM
Experience one of New Zealand’s most spectacular alpine walks, surrounded by glaciers, mountains, and breathtaking scenery.
The average return walking time is approximately 3 hours.
Once you finish your hike, our complimentary shuttle operates every 30 minutes between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM, taking you from Hooker Valley Car Park to Mt Cook Village. You are free to return to the village on any shuttle that suits you and enjoy your free time until the tour departs.
Hermitage Hotel 3:00 PM
The meeting point is the bus parking area on the second level at the rear of the Hermitage Hotel. If you are engaged in another activity or require pickup from a different location, please inform the driver on the day of the tour.
Lake Pukaki 4:00 PM
Lake Tekapo 4:30-5:00 PM
The group returns to the village between 4:30 and 5 pm.
Please ask our driver if you require a drop-off at your accommodation.
(The end time may be delayed by approximately 30 minutes.)

Aoraki Mount Cook offers stunning natural beauty, with its mountainous terrain, glaciers, lakes, and breathtaking valleys. Visitors can enjoy various outdoor activities such as mountaineering, hiking, climbing, and scenic flights by helicopter or ski plane.
Alongside the outdoor activities, the Hermitage Hotel offers additional attractions such as a planetarium, the Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre museum, and a café-bar restaurant, ensuring that all visitors can find enjoyment during their visit.
In recent years, Tekapo has expanded its accommodation options for international tourists, making it more convenient to embark on day trips from Tekapo to Mount Cook.
