Partial Closure of Hooker Valley Track and Alternative Walking Options

Dear Guests, (One-way Trip with Additional Transfer Request)

Unfortunately, it has been officially announced that the Hooker Valley Track will be closed beyond the first swing bridge for an extended period, until autumn 2026.

The Department of Conservation (DOC) is undertaking a project that includes installing a gate at the second swing bridge entrance. As the project progresses, access may eventually be extended up to this point, though there is no confirmed timeline for this yet.

At this stage, we can walk up to the first swing bridge at the Mueller Lake lookout point.

As additional walking options, we offer the Kea Point Track, the Tasman Glacier River Track.

If the section between the first and second swing bridges remains closed on the day of your visit, we will process a partial refund of $20 per person. (Retail Price $40)

Please note that if access is available up to the second bridge, a refund may not apply.
